Our Homeschooling Program
We have a very eclectic homeschool program. We incorporate many things into
our learning. We favor towards almost every approach in some way, shape or
form. We really enjoy Charlotte Mason Approach for reading and science. We
are traditional when in comes to Math. For Science we are very hands
on people.
Unit studies prevail in my subjects including science, history and geography.
Some subjects we don't pay much attention to and others we are heavily
into. I beleive in time it will all balance out.
When new to homeschooling I think it is very helpful to learn all
the approaches. This way you can examine each and determine which
one fits your children. Sometimes one approach will work. Other times you
will need several approaches!!
No one can tell you which approach is better unless they know your children
personally like you do! Never be afraid to try something. If
an approach doesn't work with your children then you know to try another
one. Never hang on to an approach that doesn't work. It wastes your
time and your kid's time
